Styrene Butadine Styrene or SBS is used as integral part of self adhesive based bituminous membranes that are used for roof waterproofing purpose. SBS is also used to modify attributes of plastics, asphalt and adhesives. SBS is basically a type of copolymer or thermoplastic elastomer polymer that has regular molecular chains. These molecular chains have been synthesized by following advanced polymerization method. Styrene Butadine Styrene is also used as suitable modifier for PS and PP to enhance their low temperature attributes.
